Overview

The objective of the SIMCON research group is the study of the microscopic properties of liquids and solids by computer simulation. This methodology allows us a deeper understanding of the basis of the properties of matter at atomic level.

The systems now on study are, among others, molten salts, molecular liquids, ionic solutions, water in homogeneous systems and in interaction with graphene and nanotubes, lipid biomembranes, proteins and quantum matter.

The properties analyzed are, basically, the structure and non-electronic transport properties in classic liquids and solids and the thermodynamic and structural properties in quantum matter.
